👋 Introduction
ChatMo is a WhatsApp exported chat reader app for Android. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we handle your chat exports.
Your chat data is processed completely locally on your device. We do not upload, sync, or transmit your chat files to any servers.
📋 Data We Collect
Chat files — exported .zip chat backups you open in the app are processed locally and are never sent to our servers.
Crash reports — basic device info and error details collected by Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs. No personal data or chat content is included.
Advertising ID — your device's advertising identifier, used by Google AdMob to show ads. You can opt out in your device settings.
⚙️ How We Use Your Data
Process and display your exported chat files natively on your device.
We do not share your data with any other third parties.
🕐 Data Deletion
Since ChatMo processes all chat files locally, you can delete your data by simply uninstalling the app or clearing the app data from your device settings. We do not store any of your chats on our servers.
👶 Children's Privacy
ChatMo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
