👋 Introduction
LuminaReads is a personal library management app for Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how your data remains under your ownership.
Your library data is stored locally on your device. Cloud sync is optional and saves directly to your private Google Drive account. We do not host your library on our own external servers.
📋 Data We Collect
Library data — books, reading status, notes, ratings, lending records, and cover images you enter or upload. This data remains on your device and inside your personal Google Drive if backup is enabled.
Google account access — only if you enable Google Drive sync. Used solely to authenticate and save/restore backup files directly to your personal Drive storage.
Feedback submissions (Optional) — you can submit feedback completely anonymously. If you choose to provide your name, it may be displayed publicly as an acknowledged contributor on our website. If you choose to provide your email, it will remain private, never published, and only used if we need to follow up regarding your feedback.
Usage analytics — aggregated, non-personally identifiable app interaction and feature engagement metrics to help us optimize performance and understand feature adoption.
Crash reports — basic device info and error details collected by Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs. No library data is included.
Advertising ID — your device's advertising identifier, used by Google AdMob to show ads. You can opt out in your device settings.

Run the app and manage your book library locally on your device.
Sync and back up your library to your personal Google Drive when enabled.
Analyze app performance, usage patterns, and user engagement to prioritize new features and enhancements.
Review feedback, follow up on issues when requested, and give credit to contributors on our website (with your consent).
Fix crashes and improve overall app stability.
Show ads within the app.
We do not sell your data or use it for profiling.

🕐 Data Ownership and Deletion
Because your library data is stored locally and synced directly to your own Google Drive, you have total control over your files:
Local data: You can clear your data at any time from within app settings, or simply uninstall the application.
Cloud backup: You can delete the synced backup files at any time directly through your Google Drive app or account settings.
Feedback data: If you previously submitted feedback with your name or email and wish to have it deleted, contact us at the email below.
👶 Children's Privacy
LuminaReads is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
